This has to be the strangest winter that ever was. It is January and I have had to cut the grass, turn on the fans to keep down the heat and otherwise observe reactions form wildlife that reminds me of early spring! Maybe that is what it is – spring! Yet it has not really been winter yet. Now I am not complaining, more that I am reacting to the world as it is. Last year we had at least six inches of snow on the ground by this time and it was very cold all the time. That, I complained about! 
But seriously I praise God for the nice weather we are having and I am excited that I am able to get numerous things done instead of having to wait for two or three months. It is wonderful that I am able to understand that God is in control regardless of the National Weather Service or anyone else that believes that science can actually be 100% accurate all the time. I do wonder what the Old Farmers Almanac has to say about this weather. Maybe I should look them up and see.
Anyway I have been negligent writing blogs lately and for that I am not happy. I will try to do better but who knows?

Earlier today I was in a conversation with some folks that was related to the pro’s and con’s of going in debt to get an education. I had a few thoughts and so decided to put them here as well as in that earlier conversation. And while we are on the subject, There are some online college programs that can be taken while a senior in high school that will count towards the first year of college. Something that we never even imagined when I was in school!
The following is strictly my opinion and not to be considered advice——
If you can get a loan from the govt to go to college and earn a masters or doctorate degree then you should and you should not let the critics tell you that it is bad to be in debt
————- the point is this, times have changed far faster than even the “thinkers” are able to track. Get the degree, get the great paying job that comes with the degree and then the bills will take care of themselves.
I predict that in the near future there will be those companies that agree to pay some or all of a new employees tuition debt just to get them to come to work.
OH yeah one more tidbit- you know how many are discussing the end of the world on 12-21-2012? Well, the Mayan calendars that I have studied for nearly twenty years now all agree with one major fact – when the current calendar ends, a new one begins! So a thought I am having is that maybe we should create and print for sale the new calendars which will begin on what was 12-22-2012. First Month – Day One of the new Era. 1-1-0000!

Abstract
The modern church spends much time in the writings of Paul and as Christians we spend a great deal of time quoting Paul. What ever happened to Jesus – the One that we claim to be following? Is it possible that in our efforts to be good Christians that we have overlooked the sayings of Jesus and are more focused on Paul as a result? Is it also possible that by quoting Paul we are more likely to be successfully accused of worshiping Paul instead of Jesus? And if that be true would it then be possible that we have gone astray and should now be hurrying back into the fold – the waiting arms of Jesus? This report will take a hard look at these questions and attempt to discover what the real truth is and if it is something that Christians should be concerned with; especially for those Christians that believe that there truly will be a life ever-lasting at the feet of our loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I was going along and enjoying the fresh air and sunshine for a couple of days and then whammy! the cold north wind came rushing in and now it is very cold! wow!
I do enjoy winter time better than the hot summers as I can dress for the cold but I can never get undressed enough for the heat! 
Obviously I don’t have anything prepared for this blog tonight. I will get the hang of this soon and then we should see some better entries and at least some things that have more merit than these ramblings!

Ok so now we are here, inside 2012 that is. I suppose that you have heard about the dire predictions for the end of this year and if you have not heard then you are not reading this either. For those of us that have listened to and watched the many items on the market predicting the end of everything at the end of this year, well now is the time to focus on anyting but that!
Over the next several blogs I will try to bring into focus the reality of living in this portion of the 21st century and what it means to me and what it can mean to you. I look forward to a very profitable year for everyone that stops focusing on the end and puts their efforts into now. We will be the folks that others will wonder about but we will also be more settled with living instead of worrying about the opposite.

As the clocks begin to move into the new year I just want to express my desire for a wonderful and genuinely happy new year. This past year has been a disaster for so many people all over the world. My prayer and wish is that peace could actually be found in the majority of places instead of the very few places that peace now resides. I honestly believe that we could become a world of friendly people if everyone would just relax and look around and feel the world for what it is. I may sound naive or to some I may sound just plain ignorant, but I truly believe that if we all decided to have peace it would happen!
May all that read this find great happiness in the coming year! May the love of God shine around everyone on the planet and peace reign supreme!
